This calculator allows you to figure out the maximum radius of the Fresnel zone between a radio transmitter and receiver.  The Fresnel zone is the series of radio waves connecting the 2 devices allowing them to communicate.  Any obstruction of these radio frequencies will cause interference.  The shape of this zone is similar to a stretched oval or partially inflated balloon stretch on each side.
