This calculator allows you to figure out how long a uninterruptible power supply (UPS) will last during a power failure. Using the UPS’s advertised specifications, I was able to create a formula to decipher an estimated runtime of this UPS.
Calculator Instructions
- Enter the quality of security camera system devices you plan on backing up.
- If you don’t know the wattage, I have defaulted the individual wattage fields with values from my system.
- The formulated runtime is presented at the bottom of the calculator for multiple UPS models.

This run time estimate is based on my own calculations and actual results may vary given the current life of the battery, environmental temperatures, early shutdown times and factors not included in my formula.
